Design

When it comes to ad design the outdoor is one of the most demanding marketing forms. The tone is set by the environment where the ad is placed and the way the audience is supposed to receive it. On the street your poster has to compete with other competitors that are trying to capture the attention of the possible consumer. The span of attention is just a few seconds so your message has to reach the audience in a very short time.

Keep it simple

When it comes to ad design the outdoor is one of the most demanding marketing forms. The tone is set by the environment where the ad is placed and the way the audience is supposed to receive it. On the street your poster has to compete with other brands trying to capture the attention of the possible consumer. The span of attention is just a few seconds so your message has to reach the audience in a very short time.

Keep the messages short as people will not have time to read long stories. A big chunk of contacts in outdoor are generated by car drivers and they need to capture the ad quicker than the pedestrians. Three to seven words are enough to convey your message. Skip unnecessary words but do not skip on the information.

IMAGE

Outdoor advertising is a visual medium. For a central element use a powerful image of your product or service that will catch the eye of the audience. This will get the message through to your consumer without using words and to make them remember your poster.

Colours and contrast

Use the colour palette wisely. Take into account the environment, season and the background where the ad will be displayed. Make different contrast work in your favor. They bring out the message thus making it more noticeable for the consumer.

CALL TO ACTION

Make the audience take the next step by giving them a lead. Point them towards your business by directing them to your homepage to acquire additional information. Get them interested so they will go to your e-store to make a purchase. Make them call you in order to make a booking or set up a meeting.
